Dr. Francis B. Casey is an honors graduate of the New England College of Optometry and holds a doctorate degree in medical sciences with a background of experience in pharmaceutical research. Since becoming an optometrist, he has devoted many years to family practice. Since 1998, he has been deeply involved in the state of the art of co-management of patients having laser-corrective surgery (LASIK). Additionally, he has specialized in geriatric care and the diagnosis of ocular pathology, both as a staff member of several area nursing homes and at Casey Vision Care. He holds the highest level of optometry license in New York State for the topical treatment of eye diseases.

Dr. Monica Casey-Gee is an honors graduate of the State University of New York School of Optometry and was recognized as outstanding in her class in the area of low vision, for the care of persons who are legally blind. She is currently the Clinical Director of the Northeastern Association for the Blind in Albany (NABA). At Casey Vision Care, she provides full family eye care and holds the highest level of optometry license in New York State for the topical treatment of eye diseases. More about Monica.

James P. Casey, Optician, graduated from Erie County Community College in 1981, with a degree in ophthalmic dispensing and has served as optician and office manager at other eye care operations prior to joining his father, Dr. Paul Casey, the founder of Casey Vision Care, 1986. Jim is in charge of the dispensary with the responsibility of selecting a wide range of the finest eye-wear available, for the patients of Casey Vision Care, as well as others who bring in their eye-glass prescriptions. He is proud to have state-of-the-art fashion eye-wear available, in addition to specialty frames for work and recreation. Jim is also licensed to fit and dispense contact lenses.

Shannon Gagnon has a degree in Ophthalmic Dispensing from the University of the State of New York. Before joining the Casey Vision Care team, she had served as Optician and Contact Lens Practioner for fourteen years at other eye-care operations. This includes five years of work with Dr. Francis Casey.

Shannon Mulderry Bacon has a degree in Ophthalmic Dispensing from University of the State of New York. Before joining the Casey Vision Care team, she had served as Optician and Contact Lens Practitioner for fourteen years at other eye care operations. This includes five years of work with Dr. Francis Casey.

Stacy Mulderry insurance specialist, handles insurance claims, helps patients to better understand their coverage and answer any questions they may have. She has over 6 years of optical experience , including helping patients with their eyeglass and contact lens needs. She has a Bachelor of Science degree from the College of Saint Rose.

Beth Vittum, front desk reception, has been involved in healthcare for approximately 6 years. Originally from New Hampshire , she worked in a local hospital in the emergency room as a medical receptionist. She is just one of the friendly voices you may hear when patients call to make an appointment. She obtains demographic and insurance information for patients’ services.
